Grievance procedure

Grievance procedure: Attempting to resolve any issue with the School first is strongly encouraged. Complaints may be filed by a student or guardian at any time online with the Division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS) within two years from the student's last date of attendance or at any time prior to the commencement of training by going to the DPOS website at http://highered.colorado.gov/dpos, 303-862-3001.

Specific school policies in terms of the process of student complaints:

  1. Student informs School Director, either via email, telephone, written statement, or in person;

  2. Student and School Director schedule a one-to-one meeting within 7 business days to discuss in greater detail the nature of the complaint;

  3. Student and School Director collaboratively work towards a resolution, to be written down with specific agreements, understandings, and timeline;

  4. Student and School Director shall schedule a follow up one-to-one meeting 7 to 14 business days later to review the agreed upon resolution;

  5. If both student and School Director are satisfied with the resolution it shall remain in place;

  6. If either student or School Director are unsatisfied with the progress of the agreed upon resolution, the option of collaboratively designing a new resolution is available (as per the determination of the School Director);

  7. The above collaborative efforts and resolutions will be signed by all parties involved and filed in the official school records.
